Gamesradar is reporting that Proto-Man will be playable in the upcoming game, Mega Man 9. But there is a catch, you will have to pay money for him. He will be DLC and cost $1.99/200 Wii points/160 XBLA points. He will become available the week of October 6th. Gamesradar also explained how Proto-Man plays differently than Mega Man:
Proto Man can deflect most bullets with this shield, but larger blasts will still cause damage and push him back twice as far as Mega Man. Being struck also interrupts his charge shot. All the Rush adaptors change to Proto adaptors as well – Proto Sled, Proto Coil etc.
